Therapy for High-Functioning Anxiety in Oregon

Specialized online therapy for women who hold everything together on the outside, available anywhere in Oregon

I work with women throughout Oregon who are tired of feeling exhausted by their own lives. You’re getting everything done, showing up for everyone, holding it all together, and somewhere underneath all of that, you’re running on empty. Your jaw is clenched, your sleep is broken, and you spend more hours than you’d admit replaying conversations and scanning for signs that someone is upset with you.

I specialize in the kind of anxiety that doesn’t look like anxiety from the outside. You’re not missing work or canceling plans (most of the time). But the effort it takes to look fine is costing you your energy, your sleep, and your ability to be present in the relationships that matter most to you. I use art therapy and somatic therapy to work with what your body is still carrying, not just what your mind already understands.

How Online Therapy Works in Oregon

I see clients throughout Oregon via secure video sessions. You don’t need to be in Portland, though many of my clients are. Whether you’re in Eugene, Bend, Salem, Medford, or a small town on the coast where the nearest therapist who takes new clients is a forty-five minute drive, you can work with me from wherever you have privacy and a reliable internet connection.

My Oregon LPC license (#C3022) is in good standing and can be verified through the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. I’m also a Licensed Art Therapist (LAT) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR), which means the creative and body-based approaches I use aren’t add-ons to my practice, they’re the foundation of my training.

Online therapy is especially effective for the kind of work I do. You’re in your own environment, the same space where you experience your anxiety, process your day, and try to wind down at night. That context matters when we’re working with how your body responds to stress. You’re not performing calm in a therapist’s waiting room. You’re in the place where your real life happens.

What I Specialize In

High-functioning anxiety is what I focus on, and it’s different from generalized anxiety in ways that most therapists don’t account for. You’re not someone who can’t get out of bed. You’re someone who gets out of bed, gets everything done, takes care of everyone around you, and collapses at the end of the day wondering why you feel so empty when your life looks so good on paper.

The anxiety lives in your relationships. The constant scanning of other people’s moods. The calculating before you say anything honest. The way you give and give and give, then feel invisible when nobody reciprocates, even though you’ve never actually told anyone what you need. The friendships where you’re always the caretaker. The partner who gets the edited version of you. The mother whose calls leave you drained for the rest of the day.

I use art therapy and somatic therapy because the kind of anxiety you’re carrying doesn’t respond to reason or logic. You already understand it. Understanding hasn’t changed how your body reacts when your boss uses a certain tone, or when your partner goes quiet, or when a friend cancels plans and your first thought is that you did something wrong.

I work below that understanding, where the tension, analysis, and the guarding are still operating.

Serving Women Across Oregon

Portland Metro Area — Many of my Oregon clients are in the Portland area, including Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Tigard, West Linn, and Hillsboro. Portland’s tech and corporate corridor means a high concentration of driven, high-performing women who are carrying exactly the kind of stress I specialize in.

Eugene and the Willamette Valley — I work with women in Eugene, Corvallis, Springfield, and Albany. Whether you’re in academia, healthcare, or navigating the pressures of a smaller community where everyone knows everyone, online therapy gives you access to specialized care without the limitations of who happens to practice nearby.

Central Oregon — Bend, Redmond, and the surrounding area have seen an influx of remote workers and professionals who relocated but brought their stress with them. If the move didn’t fix what you were hoping it would fix, that’s worth paying attention to.

Southern Oregon and the Coast — If you’re in Medford, Ashland, Grants Pass, or along the Oregon coast, access to specialized mental health care can be limited. Online therapy removes that barrier entirely.

I provide online therapy to women across Oregon, including Portland, Beaverton, Lake Oswego, Tigard, West Linn, Hillsboro, Eugene, Springfield, Corvallis, Salem, Bend, Redmond, Medford, Ashland, Grants Pass, Albany, and the Oregon coast. Wherever you are in the state, if you have a private space and a reliable connection, we can work together.

What You Can Expect

  1. Sessions are online via secure video. You’ll need a private space and a device with a camera. Most of my clients do sessions from their home office, bedroom, or car.

  2. We meet weekly to start. The kind of anxiety you’re carrying took years to build, and it needs consistent work to shift. Weekly sessions give us momentum. Most clients move to biweekly after two to three months as the changes start holding on their own.

  3. Sessions are $250 for 55 minutes. I also offer 90-minute sessions ($375) and longer therapy intensives for deeper, more concentrated work. I don’t bill insurance directly, but I provide Superbills you can submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement. (Many Oregon PPO plans, including Providence, Moda, and PacificSource, often reimburse 50–80% of out-of-network therapy costs.)

  • You need to be physically located in Oregon or Washington at the time of our session. I’m licensed in both states, so if you travel between them for work, we can still meet. If you’re relocating out of state, we’ll plan for that transition together.

  • For the kind of work I do, yes. Research consistently shows that online therapy produces comparable outcomes to in-person sessions for anxiety treatment. And there’s an advantage specific to somatic and art therapy: you’re in your own space, which means we’re working with your body in the environment where your anxiety actually shows up, not in a clinical office where you might unconsciously shift into “therapy mode.”

  • I’m not in-network with any insurance company, but I provide Superbills that you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Many Oregon plans offer meaningful reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services. It’s worth a five-minute call to your insurance company to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.

  • That’s common with high-functioning anxiety. If your previous therapy was primarily talk-based, you probably did what you do in every other room: explained the problem clearly, analyzed it thoroughly, and left understanding yourself better without the physical experience of anxiety changing at all. I work differently. We go below the understanding.
